A Year in the Making
The mosaic Damascus bolsters represent the centerpiece of this anniversary release. Forged by Ed Schempp and his son Martin over a year-long process involving more than 1,200 hours of painstaking work, the steel reveals a checkerboard pattern containing 36 individual Spyderco "bug" logos — a feat of pattern-welding that balances technical precision with traditional smithing. As Spyderco notes: "There are only a handful of people on the planet capable of producing Mosaic Damascus. No two sets of bolsters will be the same."
CPM S90V: The Anniversary Blade Steel
The blade is crafted from CPM S90V — a particle-metallurgy steel developed specifically for Spyderco.
